Services Include:

Four week housing during antibody production.
Two immunization treatments.
Three preimmune eggs and six immunized eggs.
Project termination seven days after last egg collection.

Immunization Schedule:

Day -3,-1

One pre-immune egg/day from each bird

Day 1

First treatment, requires 0.5ml prepared Ag

Day 7

Second treatment, requires 0.5ml prepared Ag

Day 21-26

One egg/day from each bird immunized

Antigen Preparation:

Antigen needs to be at least 10-12 Dalton to elicit good antibody production. Necessary antigen quantities range from 200ug to 2mg per bird.

Antigen should be prepared in PBS. The concentration can range from 400ug/ml to 4mg/ml. A total of 1ml prepared antigen is needed per bird for both treatments.
